90 Euclid Avenue Middletown, NY 10940
When a child is baptized, parents promise to bring that child up in the Catholic Faith. In keeping with this, we are here to assist you in your child’s faith formation.
Our faith formation program is designed to meet the needs of children who attend public school or who are home schooled in grades Kindergarten through Eighth grade. Students will prepare for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Holy Eucharist and Confirmation in the appropriate grade level. In grades where sacraments are not received, students continue to increase their knowledge of all aspects of faith including the Bible, Commandments, Beatitudes, plus additional studies.
Classes are held in Mt. Carmel School building in a traditional classroom setting.
Our catechists (teachers) are volunteers from our parish who are willing to give their time, energy and great witness to their faith for the spiritual growth of our students. Our catechists are Safe Environment trained through a program from the Archdiocese of New York and have been background screened.
Classes are held on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons from 4:15pm to 5:45pm for 1st through Sixth Grades (only one night per week either Tuesday or Wednesday.)
Kindergarten Classes are held on Wednesday afternoons at 4:15pm
Classes for Grades Seven and Eight are held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00pm.
